Is PM Modi Uneducated

How educated is PM Modi

Education is not merely a tool that teaches us to build roads, buildings, or bridges, but it is something that teaches us to build the values, character, and behavior not only of a few people but of a civilization as a whole.

The Indian Civilization, believed to be among the oldest civilizations, is respected not only for its morals but for enlightening the World about spirituality, culture, and traditions.

In an era where India is regarded as a bright spot for investments and economic growth for the whole World, it has been facing controversy about its leader's education for a few years.

The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, has faced criticism about his education over the last few years. Opposition leaders attacked him for Demonetization, GST, and the Farm Laws.

But is this criticism backed by sanity, if not logic?

From IMF to World Bank to BRICS to G20 to G7, they have always praised PM Modi for bringing transformation to the Indian Economy.

The question arises if someone who is not educated does so.

Some academicians and students of economics claim that PM Modi's policies are not backed by the theories of Economics.

The truth is that whether you study Engineering, Economics, or Arts, there is always a difference between theory and practice.

People, both critics and supporters, agree that PM Modi is gifted with Pragmatism. He consults a wide range of people, from Economists to bureaucrats to the people who lead IMF and World Bank (they are the people who have governed the economic policy formulation, implementation, and execution in their countries) and uses his Pragmatism which is a must-have for someone leading a billion plus population.

If his Pragmatism had been a bane, the Country would not have marched closer to becoming a 3 Trillion USD Economy.

People criticizing PM Modi should study the decline in multidimensional poverty in India.

It would have been impossible for an uneducated PM to have ensured the end of leakage through middlemen in the Social Welfare Schemes of India.

An Uneducated PM would not have initiated Swachh Bharat, Mudra Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana.

An uneducated PM would not have initiated the adoption of Organic Farming in India.

An uneducated PM would not have initiated the setting up of an Indigenous Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry in India.

An Uneducated PM would not have shown the path to achieve renewable energy targets.

An Uneducated PM would not have set the nation on the path to achieving renewable energy targets set at the COP Paris Climate Change Summit.

An Uneducated PM would not have attracted record FDIs to a country that was once plagued by Policy Paralysis and considered among the Fragile 5 Economies before he made his way to the Prime Minister's Office.

An Uneducated PM would not have earned praise from the CEOs of Top US Corporations.

Do PM Modi's critics have the audacity to call praises from the Top American CEOs biased or blind?

Would Leaders of The United States of America, which include President Obama, President Trump, and President Biden, befriend an Uneducated PM from India?

Some of PM Modi's Opponents claim that the bureaucrats get signatures from PM Modi for the development works.

If the bureaucrats had been this good, India would have become a developed country before 2014, and PM Modi would not have been voted for by the Indian people to become Prime Minister.

The Opposition leaders used a part of a video featuring PM Modi with a then-journalist and current Rajya Sabha MP, Mr. Rajeev Shukla.

In this video, PM Modi said that he studied for a BA in Political Science from Delhi University and an MA in Entire Political Science from Gujarat University. He earned both these degrees as an External Student in 1978 and 1983.

In this video, PM Modi said he studied for a BA in Political Science from Delhi University and an MA in Entire Political Science from Gujarat University. He earned both these degrees as an External Student in 1978 and 1983, respectively.

Since 1971, PM Modi has worked as a full-time RSS Pracharak and joined the BJP in 1985.

Over these years, he witnessed the Policy Formulation, Implementation, and Execution of various State and Successive Union Governments. He witnessed the impact of these policies at the grassroots level all over the Country and drew lessons from the same.

From 1971 till 2001, when he became the Gujarat Chief Minister for the First Time, he interned in Politics for 30 years.

From 2001, since holding the office of Gujarat CM to continuing as India's Prime Minister as we converse now, he has earned a Work Experience of 22 continuous Years.

When anyone applies for a job, the employer does not hire merely based on degree but inquires about work experience and Internships (in case the candidate is a fresher). The Man running the Most Responsible Office in the Country has an internship of 30 years and a work experience of 22 years, along with 2 Degrees.

Experts in Human Resources all over the World claim that in The USA, employers prefer skills and not just degrees (which is why The USA is still the most developed Country in the World).

Would it be wise to neglect the skills in Policy Formulation, Governance, Administration, Diplomacy, and Pragmatism for a man at the Top Job of a country home to the World's largest population?

Indian Students are often told the success stories of all college dropouts, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg, but The American Society feels proud of their expertise.

If they are running multi-billion USD worth businesses, then PM Modi is running a USD 4 Trillion (close to 4 trillion USD) economy, too.

As a country, we should rise above our obsession with degrees and appreciate our leader's skills, expertise, and Pragmatism, who the World sees as The Last Best Hope.
